pulling it all together

I'm remodeling a house from top to bottom. My question is about color. I want a casual look. From the entry you see the den, kitchen breakfast room -- very open. Have painted the walls a warm grey. Floors are weathered wood. Hope to find a reclaimed wood table for the breakfast room.

There is a wood bannister upstairs and down, and staircase that is seen from these rooms. I am going to put in wrot iron balusters that are satin black. None of the following items have been purchased and I can go with any combination but am confused as to what to do. I have found some wrot iron looking light fixtures that I would look good in the entry and above the kitchen island that pick up the feel of the bannisters. However, I prefer to have a nickel finish for my door handles, drawer pulls, kitchen fawcett, etc. Should I go with an oil rubbed bronze look instead, to match the bannister and light fixtures OR should I use the nickel finish drawer pulls but switch to nickel finish light fixtures?
