I think it does. We went with Hansgrohe for all our bathroom plumbing fixtures (complete redo). The guts of all our fixtures are brass. If you're planning on being in the home for a long time, I would go with something that will last. We are planning on being in our place for at least 20 years, so we wanted something that was aesthetically pleasing and durable. Hope that helps! We did end up with a beautiful Moen pivoting toilet paper holder that we're really happy with. :)

Moen purchased at Lowe's or Home Depot is plastic crap (sorry, no better way to put it) An identical looking Moen fixture purchased from a showroom weighs (and costs ) twice as much because it's actually metal. The 'real' Moen is good quality and their customer service is top notch. Grohe and Hansgrohe are excellent too.
