growing tomatoes inside in winter

I have 4 150 watt hps and 1 400 watt metal halide in the bsmt, they are to keep my tropicals alive over winter. Lately i've been trying to grow some veggies in between and had some good luck with tomatoes last year. would like to do better. have some smaller led lites to put directly on a plant when needed. Any suggestions!!
