White or wood trim?

We are remodeling a Northern Idaho home

and have Acacia flooring, natural hickory cabinets and want to know whether to do white trim or stained wood trim. Our home is basically a lake house in the forest. Here's a picture of the wood against the paint and also a picture of the cabinets. We do have white painted wood on the bottom of our windows. I want the house to feel beachy/cabin cozy.

I would go with painted trim and not introduce another wood element with what you have.

what about a white wash (gray wash, some other color)? it would look beachy and still let the amazing wood peek through. do you have a scrap piece to try it on? i find the cabinets to be beautiful - it would be lost under white paint.

White for the rest of the house, but not under the cabinets. Beautiful wood!

I have wood trim and white painted trim. The white is much more higher maintenance than the wood.

I would say let the cabinets and floors be the star...the baseboards are really not a design element you are trying to call attention to...try matching the wall color...no distraction from the amazing wood elements

Im not a huge fan of contrasting trim because it usually adds another color into a space thats completely unnecessary. So if possible I would do wall colored trim or wood trim if it's the same wood as floor.

i think I misunderstood.. i thought you were talking about the cabinets themselves. For trim only, I'd do white.
