Is the floor itself wavy meaning it's buckled? Or just the finish? If it's the finish I'd ask to have them redone. We just did ours had them "screened" and then one coat of poly and they look fabulous. Wavy is not a good look, someone didn't know how to spread it in a straight line!

Yes, pictures as it could have been sanded badly or the top coat didn't dry evenly....

The floors are new? Are old but refinished? Wavy like a roller coster? Or does the finish look like "waves on the beach"?

Wavy indicates poor sanding. Shiny finish will only exaggerate that even more. If it is the sanding then well the sanding will have to be done all over again. Wavy sanding is usually a machine that's poor maintained or the refinisher doesn't strap himself to the machine like he's supposed to and his walking with his machine is inconsistent. Please provide pics.
