I believe they have only been around a couple years. I think there was a post about them on Tomatoville last year. I believe it is a start up of the same guy that founded Totally Tomatoes years ago.

I got that catalog today along with the Totally Tomatoes catalog. I did wonder if they were the same operation. The Seeds and Such catalog even opens with a large collection of tomatoes. I, too, thought prices looked good, but did not take the time to see how much seed you get for the price, nor what the shipping may run. I'll have a closer look and ask my buddy who I think orders from Totally Tomatoes.

I will give them a try. Some of the prices are good others high for the number you get. I do like his flat shipping rate. He must have sold totally tomatoes and HPS to JUNG and had a non compete clause that has expired so he can start over. The big problem with so many catalogs is each order has a shipping charge. This can make the seeds in a small order very costly

Update late November 2016. I just got catalog from Seeds n Such and wanted to check them out on Gardenweb. Not much to go on here, but I compared prices with Johnny's Seeds which is my go-to company. Johnny's is less expensive for both Sugar Buns sweet corn and Defiant tomatoes, varieties I've enjoyed for years. I get close to 100% germination from Johnny's (far higher than they claim), and see no reason to switch.

Very poor germination rate. Worse than any seeds we have ever purchased. I wrote to the company and they admitted they may of made a mistake, sending out old seeds but rather than reimburse me for a significant purchase, they sent more seeds far too late in our growing season to help me out at this point. None of the seeds even germinated at 20 percent ratio and I didn't do anything different than i usually do. The majority of my gardening for this year is over as I don't have one started due to lack of germination and available plants.

I ordered 50 trailing pansy seeds from them and got germination of 4 !

I got 96% with my other seeds from a different supplier.

Yes this is the same fellow who sold Shumway and Totally Tomatoes to Jung. He decided to start over a couple of years ago. Both were located just across the river from me, so I got a lot seeds from him at the time. Have not tried his new company. Just a bit of warning for everyone. Seeds are usually germination tested in December. A vendor can legally sell seed packaged for 2019 ( tested in 2018) until New years when the packaged for 2020 comes into effect. Some companies sell the older seed but they are suppose to tell you. Just be aware if you must order seeds early. All vendors buy their seeds from major developers so there is no variance in hybrid seeds and a little in OP. Seeds by Design is the major supplier of OP and has gone heavily into hybridized OP's like Brandy Boy, Grandma's Pick. Chef's Choice ….. There are a few heirloom vendors like Sandhill, Baker Creek that contract with private growers

Farmerdill, Fedco has had a strain of Brandywine Pink Suddeth strain that a local grower has selectively improved.

I have always had almost every seeds sprout.

I had the same experience as the original comment low germination rate and the plants that did germinate are not strong plants. the only exception are the summer and winter squash had a 50% germination and health strong plants.
