Live in a studio apt. Trying to create a small sitting space. Got an dark olive green couch with a colorful ARE rug tgat had beige,red, blue,olive green and orange. What color should I paint coffee table,single chair and desk? Also what type of lamp

Photos would help. Otherwise, carry on with the scheme you established with the sofa and rug. They all work together.

Do you need to paint the tables, or do they work with the rug and sofa>

If you wanted a cozy feel, you could go with the rust orange that's in the rug on one of the flowers. That's color always looks nice. But it may may the room look smaller. You could paint the walls a light cream and then put a nice picture/s on the wall to spruce up the wall instead of adding color, since you have color in the furniture.

It's a rental can't paint. Hmm but I can paint the chair and desk cream. And the coffee table table ends rust orange
