Window Sill Above Kitchen Sink & Faucet Selection/Install

We just purchased a Blanco Diamond Super Single Sink for our kitchen and are in the process of shopping for a complementary faucet.

I've run into a problem: Our kitchen has a 2.25" deep window sill, which will sit 7" above our countertops. In other words:

  • There isn't enough height/vertical space for a high arc faucet.
  • There isn't enough depth between the sink and the window sill for the faucet.

What are my options? Remove the window sill/ledge?

Thanks in advance for imparting your wisdom! Through our kitchen renovation, I'm learning just how important a centimeter is, much less an inch.
