Snuggle Blue Sparkle Fabric Softener

last modified: 10 years ago

Ok...I HATE Snuggle Blue Sparkle Softener. Once upon a time, many, many moons ago Snuggle was soft and powdery like Downy April Fresh. Snuggle now smells horrid!

But, today I found and bought a BIG bottle of Snuggle Blue Sparkle NON-concentrated Softener at Smart & Final. Very big bottle, and it was about $4. The softener is very thin and fluid, light blue in colour and the scent is SO much lighter than regular Blue Sparkle softener. It is clean and fresh. I'm excited to try it!! I have conservatively a 5 year detergent supply...so my "fix" is now softener. LOL

OMG Jean that's almost a month away..but I know what you mean. I did some online ordering Target & Bon Ton and held myself back from ordering any detergent from Target..I wanted to just slip one tiny thing in. Lol but I didn't.

    Sandy I feel withdrawl. Lol.

I washed a load of soft, cotton sweat/lounge pants, shorts and t-shirts tonight. Classic Tide he powder and about a 1/2 cap of this non-concentrate Snuggle. Everything feels and smells great. Soft, but not limp. Not coated, waxy or heavy. Light, fresh and very soft smell. I think a winner!!!! :)

Just like Downy Non-concentrated, this Snuggle is NOT on the website. Strange!

Thank you Larsi. I suppose the next time I buy FS I'll give this a try. Right now I have about 12 different ones/scents to use up or donate..so probably not this week lol.

LOL...your right...it will be this week..I try very hard to wean myself off of these Laundry supplies but it just doesn't work. I usually have good intentions when I say I'm not buying this week, than I just decide I'll take a quick walk down the laundry isle, just to LOOK, and there it is....a NEW to me product...than I have to listen to hubs ranting which I've learned to tune out so all I hear is blablabla...but I've learned a new trick...a few days ago Amiee and her BF went browsing in Walmart so we dropped her, her wheelchair and her BF off at the boring Walmart after I snuck her 10 $ and told her buy me a big jug of Downy Sun Blossom and when you get home present it to me as a gift...Hubs picked the kids up and there's Amiee sitting there with a big jug of Downy a surprise gift for mom..LMAO.

Amiee + a wheelchair + secret money + a fake surprise gift = MamaP is a mad genius. You are even more fabulous than I imagine!!!!! Love you!!!!! Amiee is a brilliant accomplice too. What to go A!! Proud of you kid ;)

Btw, I gave my Downy Sun Blossom softener to the neighbor lady months ago. The first two loads, I thought I loved it, but then it really smelled like early or mid 1990's sunflower perfume (not a fav or mine).

My current Softener stash that I am using and really enjoying is:

Downy Citrus Spice (for sheets & towels, hate it on clothes!)

Snuggle Fresh Spring Flowers (again, love on sheets, towels and blankets)

Downy April Fresh (new, musty perfume scent :( but the Non-Concentrated formula. Much lighter scent and the liquid is water thin!!

Snuggle Blue Sparkle Non-Concentrate Formula. Much lighter scent and thin liquid!!

My FS mix of the week is Downy Mountain Spring mixed with Purex Lavender. I can't use anything as is :).

I've also been using Final Touch on towels. It smells vintage. Just subtle.
