A few years ago I posted photos of my 1978 kitchen and asked for advice. Everyone had great ideas and i wanted to say thank you. we finally are finished and I wanted to share the results!

Here are the before photos:

Good layout - ugly brown tiled walls, older appliances

We kept the custom built cabinets - they are in good shape. We removed all of the tile on walls, tiled the floor, new sinks, induction cooktop, range hood, microwave drawer, wine cooler.

Waterfall countertop - black granite on outer counters, quartz on island (which we painted black).

Extended the countertop on peninsula for seating.

Re-opened passageway to living room that was closed by former owners

Details like these drawers are one of the reasons we kept the cabinets.
