I'm creating 2.5 ft wide pathways all along fence line, the plants (trees, shrubs, perrenials go next and then lawn. This will not only allow the dog access to run fence line but also make it easy for me to get behind plants for pruning and other care.

But what product to use? In Medford, OR I used a gold colored decomposed granite with excellent results but it's not available here in Tacoma, WA. I'd prefer something with color (not just gray), packs down well, won't wash away in the rain or stick to bottom of shoes and not exorbitantly expensive. Any ideas?
