Hey!! Mundare sausage is some damn good stuff-although that statue in the middle of town is kinda weird/unique??

The cabinetry, floor and the colour of the island is very nice....but the shape of the sausage island leaves a lot to be desired...

well not if we are going to eat it, it looks fine then.

    I like the bird.

thats my vote mark, let the bird have the snausage, why fight mother nature, santa might get mad!

On a different note, anyone notice it is now snowing in the houzz? and prezzies too! i get the big blue one.

I have to say I don't like it.

Hmmm, everz is it the snow and prezzies you don't like, the snausage, or the fact the raven might eat said snausage? tehehehe

I'll take the little one as who knows there may be a sparkly thing in there and I like sparkles.

ewwww, or a gift card! Good things always come in small pkgs you know. of course you never know angel, could be like one of those russian doll things in the big one, box in a box, in a box. etc.

Comeon everz, you have now had 7 hours to think which is the part you don't like? Oh i know, you are afraid the raven will eat your prezzie, tell me which one and i will run and protect it. then we could just call it a christmas miracle!

    Falalala lalala

Imagine your guest forgetting this thing is there, coming out in the middle of the night for a drink of water, turning the light on, and then, seeing this UGLY thing. Guest would think he is having a horror movie nightmare, "Sausage Eating House and Its People".

without turning on the light, I'd crack my knee open on the thing.....

I think "ugly" is a woefully insufficient word for this

    Oscar Meyer comes to mind....

I think what stands out for me is the slate worktop? if it is slate? I like that idea of that but such a nice slate top ( probably expensive too) deserves a better kitchen island on which to be fixed.

    Looks like a giant kidney......YUK!

At least they could have put it in a bun to improve its appearance, lol.

ugly, but its cool to make a statement, id do a different colour, even a white or grey

you obviously did not think about this, but i can see why, a white wienie? ewwww.

I just want to know .. WHY ????

If 'form follows function', what is the function of this shape? It obviously can't serve as a seating area and if it's function is intended to be artistic, that mark has been missed as well. I am not a fan of the final result.

the more i hang out in this community alacarte, the less i believe that others believe that. lol

This immediately reminds me of a sausage. I wondered what would motivate any homeowner or designer to put this anywhere in a home. I saw the rest of the house on www.butlerarmsden.com and overall it was cool. Some art pieces were just as unusual for my taste.

shan, thanks for finding that. I would say it was all very avent garde but much of it is from the 70s. I do feel the company is in to doing very out there work. And the owner, in this case, did seem to have this shape much on their mind, no?
