How To Switch From Site To App For Notifications

Hi Emily, I have yet another problem.....for the last few days, I have seen a pop-up giving me the option of going to the app or else the site, when receiving email notifications of activity on my threads. Today, I clicked the box that says "do this for all notifications" (or something like that), and then I chose the app as my go-to.......well, not sure what went wrong, but I am being connected to the site, NOT the app. How can I fix this? Thx! Karen

Hi there,

Thanks for the email! On your device go to Settings -> Safari -> Clear Cookies and Data, then the page that asks to open in app/browser should show again.

Hi Emily, I have tried a couple of times to follow your instructions to fix this problem, but it still doesn't work. When I tap "See Comment" on my email notifications, I then get a screen such as the one below. I then tap "View On App", and click "Always Open Email Links This Way" on the line below. Sometimes it takes me to the app, but usually it goes to the site.

The second pic is a screen shot of my Settings page, and the line that says "Clear History and Website Data" is the one I go to. I have been repeatedly clearing and then trying again, but I can't seem to get it to set permanently on app viewing.
