    It's a downdraft unit that lifts up behind the cooktop. The buttons/controls are mounted in the counter to the left of the unit.

    What is the depth of the countertop there, and the brand of cooktop and downdraft? My cooktop is also by a window but I'm afraid my countertop doesn't have the depth required for a downdraft behind a cooktop.
