If you don't want to go to the expense of a total remodel here are some ideas: have all walls and cabinets, vents and shutters painted the same color as the tile ( it looks like you have too many whites/creams going on now). One cohesive white will help! Get the tub glazed white and the heater painted white also... You do not want them as a focal point as they are now. Install new cabinet hardware, replace the mirrors with white decorative mirrors and accent with white and just a touch of turquoise. It will look clean and fresh. Good luck!

I wouldn't spend the money just to sell the home. The buyers then have a lower price to update it to their own taste, or maybe they like the original.

I believe that for a 50s bathroom, it is very attractive, rare to see the dble sinks. I agree with diana about taking care of any issues like the floor under the window. the cabinets look fine, though i am not looking close up. I would not reglaze anything, it does not do well. I think changing the handles on the cabinets - those look kinda dark, or are they meant to be that way.

Everything is in good working condition and the issue with the floor by the window/wall, believe it or not, is just some leftover residue from the carpet that was in there for the last 25 or so years but we should be able to get that cleaned up. I was worried about leaving this bathroom with the off white cabinetry/tile, and a newer white toilet that doesn't quite match. And I wasn't sure how it would flow with the other bathroom and kitchen being updated.

We had originally planned in the budget to update it, but the neighbors and visitors seem to like it, so I wanted some other opinions! There seems to be a split of the homes selling in the area that are either completely remodeled or completely original so we are having a hard time deciding which way to go.

Love the jadeite tub! I would just repaint the cabinets closer to the tile color and get new pulls so there aren't so many off whites fighting. Maybe change the entry door and handle?

I personally love the color of the tub, sinks and especially the liner tile because it ties it all together. I don't agree with Keitha though about the tub. If you choose to remodel to match the rest of the house before you sell, try and save all of your fixtures and the tile for repurpose. If you want a white tub don't waste your money on glazing a perfectly good tub that someone else would love to have. There is definitely a nitch for those items.

Keep the tub and sinks. Call the Grout Doctor if you need more than Tilex and toothbrush to freshen the tile. Those old homes have good tilework so I doubt they will need more than cleaning.Retro baths are cool so only fix what it really worn or broken.
I refinished a brown cultured tub and it is OK after several years but a friend, also in East Dallas, had her cast iron tub reglazed this summer professionally and it is showing wear already. So don't waste time or money on changing tub. If the floor is worn vinyl, cover it with peel and stick vinyl tile which is cheap at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore. There is one at Skillman and Abrams and others in Plano and Garland. You could also get supplies to freshen the vanity paint and hardware.
Right now the housing market is good so you shouldn't have to do a lot of work to get an offer if everything is functioning.

-add molding to cabinets and paint a darker color to contrast the countertop
-frame mirrors
-change the knobs on the cabinets
-add tub skirt
-paint walls to contrast the tile!

matching the off white of the tile would look good but can be tricky. A super light tint of that turquoise could tie things together. Winter in Paris by Valspar at Lowe's might work.
