Brooksville is quite a bit north of Tampa and inland. If memory serves me well, it tends to be one of the colder spots in central Florida.

Brooksville is parallel with orlando and roughly 14 miles from gulf, best bet is to choose lowest chilling required fruit trees that you can find, usually 100-200 hrs. as well as some n 300-400 range as winters temps will vary. USDA shows area on border tween 9a and 9b.

Low chill for deciduous trees is a must for much of Florida and are often the safest way to go for Central Florida. Tropical plants are a Crap Shoot. You might get a Mango to grow for 6 years with mild winters and the get a cold snap one year that kills it.
If you want apples, you can get Fuji Apple trees and a native Crab Apple to act as the cross-pollinator.

I know you have a list of things you would like to grow when you get down here, but my best advice would be: "Live here a year first." As someone mentioned, you can contact the local Extension Office, an overflowing wealth of information, and maybe plant a "Safe Bet" tree or two, but wait a year before going hog wild. Make a note of how the sun travels across your land and also which areas get colder than others. Micro-Climates down here can really make a difference in what you can successfully grow. You might have one area that gets blasted by northern winds during winter and another area that doesn't see a lick of frost due to surrounding plants and/or architecture. Also the sun down here changes drastically compared to up north. The north side of a house is only the shady side during winter, during summer the north side becomes full sun. Observing your yard for one year can save you money and heartache down the road.
