With a toddler I strongly suggest you wall mount your TV and soon. You can still have a console underneath , but do make sure it has doors or closed shelves. Your cool art piece is way too large for over your couch. It would work better on a wall where you have a low piece of furniture ( like a table ) or even on a wall in a hallway as a stand alone piece. Over your couch ( or any couch) you would want a more horizontal shaped piece of art that is about 3/4 the width of your couch. Also an area rug would help warm up the space. It can also give you ideas of accent colors.
