recover 1970s henredon sofa or sell for new living room set?

I have a very limited budget to re-do a living room. I have a very cool 1970s curved 90+" henredon sofa and am trying to decide to recover or replace with all new furniture. HELP! Bought sofa three years ago for only $75, so I don't have anything into the project. But...i have a VERY large room to furnish.

I have had a couple of chairs reupholstered and while they looked good I was not satisfied with the change I the way they sat. One exceptionally comfortable antique rocker came back with a soggy seat and my club chair came back stiff. It cost as much to redo as to purchase new. Be very specific about everything you do or do not want done. On antiques you usually don't want the wood accents refinished (my rocker came back refinished:-(...). Don't do it to save money.
