I have modern dark cherry cabinet, a medium hand scrapped oak floor, frosty carrina caesar stone and a calacatta 2x4 gold brick for the backsplash with grey grout. Now that it's up, I hate the backsplash. It doesn't add warmth to the kitchen and doesn't integrate with the cabinets and looks out of place. I am taking it down. What to I replace it with? My style is transitional and my colours are soft yellow walls with a range of dark and light furniture throughout the house. It is a warm pallet throughout the house. I was thinking about sea green or teal subway tiles as the house has lots of purple and teal accents. What do others think? I'm stuck.
