Kitchen backsplash opinion

Having a hard time seeing things outside of the Reno I'm living.
We just added the walnut piece with lighting to connect the two cupboards and now feeling there may be a void between the marble backsplash and the walnut. Should I add more marble around the window? Introduce small shelves? Or something else.
