Hi Robin,

if you add some photos and best a floor scketch, it will be easier to advice you.

If you have two couches facing each other you can look to one side for the TV and the other side for the fireplace. You might also place two large comfortable swivel chairs at the ends of the couches. This is always a difficult design issue.

One more thought.......the sectional could actually work if it fits into the space at a 45 degree angle so that one side of the sectional faces the TV and the other faces the fireplace. You could add swivel chairs to this scenario as well........

Thanks ... here are a few pix to give you an idea of the space. Sorry it took so long but the techno gods and I were not on the same page yesterday! A friend, who I value her design eye, says that I should leave it in the current configuration just update. I also realize that the trend is a more streamlined look but lots of warmth and coziness fit my personality. Thoughts? Thanks in advance... appreciate your professional opinions.
