So if my dining room looks a little familiar it's because I've gotten the design of the wallpaper and mirror from another design in houzz. initially the wall was supposed to be completely wallpapered, however when I ordered the wallpaper I miscalculated and only ordered one roll. It then sat in my closet for about four months and when I was ready to wallpaper, I discovered I needed another role but by the time I had went back to the website I purchased it from, I then found out that it was completely discontinued. I searched high and low and called many different states with absolutely no luck. So I then had to improvise and create The border with the black molding and decided to paint the bottom an avocado green to match my chairs. I'm very pleased with the wall however it's the wall to the left with the shutters I'm now completely confused about. Currently it's a light tan/beige/cream color. I thought it looked fine because it's a very neutral color to go with the other things I have going on, however over the year people have been asking me what I'm going to do with that wall as if it's unfinished?? I feel like if I painted it avocado green it might be too much green with my chairs and so on, then I feel if I try to paint it gold to match the wallpaper it might look a little too fancy for my house. (as you can see in the photos I have kids and I would just like for my house to look nice and finished not too fancy or too perfect, excuse the mess btw) Someone please help! Thanks for listening! Also if you can see I have some orange accents going on. I'm not 100% completely set on them if someone else has other suggestions for an accent color.
