So in a matter of 48 hours our apartment has gone from no sent, to horrible garbage smells, we thought it was the trash not being taken out so next day when it stopped raining we took it out and gave it overnight to clear out, but no the smell is still there! We find that the smell is strongest near the sink so I cleaned the dishes and wiped down the sink, (we do not have a garbage disposal or a dishwasher) 24 hours later we are still trying to combat the smell, we have tried baking soda followed with vinegar but the smell permeates throughout the apartment unless we burn oils or use fabreeze. Upon further attempts at locating the smell we think it could be coming from our gas stove, but it doesn't smell like rotten eggs so we aren't sure if it is a gas leak. we are trying to solve the problem ourselves within the next two days before contacting out landlord about it. If anyone has any suggestions on what this garbage/spoiled spinach smell could be please let us know!!
