What variety of boxwood is this , do you have a stratergy to avoid box blight. It is a huge issue in the UK

    Laara,
    That is Buxus m koreana 'Winter Gem'. It's not as fine-textured as sempervirens, but is MUCH hardier. I do not find it dying back from the various reasons that afflict semp. and thus I use it for most of my clients. Google it for UK compatability.

    Thank you very much Steve, I will be checking this out. Here in the uk sempervirens often varies much in its specific leaf size & even habit . It is not always cohesive from supplier to supplier. I prefer One chosen supplier who care greatly about their sources.
