We are currently building and are down to our light fixtures. All door hardware will be ORB however our kitchen cabinet hardware will be nickel. Our kitchen cabinets and countertop are dark and our counters have silver flecks in it so we felt nickel would look best. However we are now down to lights. All fixtures will be ORB as well, except possibly over the raised bar in the kitchen which will have two pendant lights. Our kitchen, dining, and living room are all open. Had our kitchen been closed off I would be 100% sure on going with nickel, it would look awesome over our dark grey and silver countertops. However, how will the nickel look so close to an orb fixture in the dining? Anyone else mix finishes in such an open floor plan? I've attached the pendant light choices, dining room light, a close example of kitchen cabinets (nickel hardware) and the darker color is our countertops.
