I find that the slightest change affects my doggies, even something as insignificant as moving the location of their food dish. Ten years old in no longer a pup, maybe mention it to your vet on next visit so he can give him a more thorough exam, to rule out medical problems. But more than likely he will say it's the change in location/routine. This past Christmas we took our pooches to a relative's house, whose rule is "no dogs in the house". My dogs slept in the garage for 3 days and I could hear them crying/wimpering thru the night. It was awful. I think they were happier to return home that we were, ha.

Walking her after feeding her will help her to relieve herself. I am not suggesting that she have her big walk after feeding, but that she be given an extra walk after her meal.

I just got back from the vet where I mentioned that my dog has started getting me up in the middle of the night to take her outside to urinate. She is 5-1/2 years old and had never done that before. The vet checked her for a UTI and while she didn't have that, she did have lots and lots of struvite crystals. Not the stones yet, but the crystals. I had changed her food to a "no grain" salmon dry food and the vet had me change her to a chicken and rice dry food and add warm water to it. To say all this is just to say that maybe a trip to the vet is in order to rule out any physical problems. I hope you find a good answer.
