Space above cabinets

And planning a remodel, I want to do away with the space I have above my cabinets. I see here that you have kept it and wondered if there's some structural reason? Thank you

Hello,

The only reason we left a space on top of the cabinets is because of design purposes. If the customer wanted the cabinets to go all the way up we can install the cabinets all the way up to the ceiling.Here's one of our customers design rendering you can see the attached pictures for an example.
