Fairfax Kitchen and Bath

My experience with this company was extremely disappointing. We chose them based on the impressive vision they presented for our master bathroom remodel, but it quickly became apparent they lacked the experience and organization to execute it properly. We were told the project would take two and a half weeks — it dragged on for nine, filled with poor communication, missed deadlines, and ongoing issues with both management and contractors. They frequently argued with us about the process, omitted important information (some of which we only discovered after a wall was already torn down), and consistently failed to show up when promised — whether it was the workers or even the owners. We were constantly expected to adjust to their schedule, with little to no regard for ours as the client. At one point, they even tried to install a scratched showroom tub. Each work visit left our home messy, with no cleanup whatsoever. The countertop contractor misled us about the delivery date, took multiple attempts to measure correctly, and when the countertop was finally installed, it was left dirty, and worse — it damaged our brand-new bathroom cabinet. The only reason the project was completed at all was thanks to one dedicated contractor who gave up his Saturdays to move it forward. We had to cancel personal plans and appointments just to accommodate their erratic scheduling. It was by far the worst remodeling experience we’ve ever had.

Having gone through an extensive kitchen and master bath renovation with FKB, I can say with certainty I'll never use them again. What they claimed would be a 3-6 month construction project has taken them well over a year, and that was after delaying starting for months. During that time frame, it's been one boondoggle after another. We had two different project managers quit or be fired, though with the limited amount of actual project management they actually did maybe that didn't matter. One would expect project managers to ensure work was done to code, subcontractors did quality work, the worksite wasn't a total mess, the materials were onsite & correct, work was completed on schedule, etc. However, we really got little of that from them. We caught numerous code violations and mistakes ourselves and had to twist their arm to remedy them. Their subcontractors were constantly cutting corners and doing sloppy work. Basically every piece of cabinetry and other materials were incorrect when delivered, and despite this happening repeatedly, FKB would wait until they needed to be installed to actually check, and repeatedly delayed the project by weeks or months waiting for replacement pieces when they could have caught issues at delivery. Eventually we gave up on expecting FKB to plan ahead and ensure quality work on their own and basically started managing the project ourselves, which is how it eventually got done. I'm only giving 2 stars because doing that we eventually got the damn thing over the finish line and it came out ok. Next time I'll either hire a firm that does real project management or just manage the thing myself.

We are absolutely thrilled with how everything turned out—our kitchen and bathrooms are not only more functional but also beautiful, and we know we’ve added value to our home. We would 100% recommend Hamit, Tugce, and Ege from Fairfax Kitchen and Bath, and if we ever do another big project, they will be our first call.

We purchased a house in Fairfax Station, VA and wanted to remodel the kitchen before moving in. We visited both the Sterling and Fairfax showrooms for material selection, and both teams were helpful, patient, and made the process feel easy. The renovation was handled by project manager Ege and Julio’s crew, and they did a great job. They were responsive to my concerns and made sure everything turned out just the way I wanted. We bought our home in Leesburg, Virginia in 2021. I loved everything about it. The pool, the little park area, the 0.6-acre lot. It wasn’t too big, not too small. But the one thing I really didn’t like was the kitchen. The layout didn’t make sense, storage was a big problem, and there were a lot of unnecessary walls. Remodeling the kitchen was always part of the plan, but at the time we moved in, we were limited on budget. About six months ago, we started looking seriously and doing our homework. After careful research, we signed with Fairfax Kitchen and Bath! And I’m so thankful we did. Our designer, Tugce, really impressed us. She came up with a smart design that completely transformed the space. She removed walls, added under-cabinet outlets, and thought of all the small details - even the toe kick lighting. Everything was planned to make the space as usable and beautiful as possible. Now, I absolutely love my house. The kitchen finally matches the rest of the home and brings everything together. When we purchased our house in Annandale, Virginia, we were planning to renovate the master bathroom, which was very outdated. At that time, we got a few quotes, but most of them were out of our budget. So we waited a couple of years, and when we were finally ready, we reached out to the same companies again. Fairfax Kitchen and Bath really stood out. First of all, we were so happy to find the same designer we met two years ago - Sena. The other companies had different people, and we didn’t want to start the whole process again from zero with someone new. Also, Fairfax Kitchen and Bath kept their word. They didn’t change the design around and they honored the price they gave us back then, even after two years. On top of that, they gave us an extra 4th of July discount, which made it feel like a win-win situation. We are really thankful we chose them. We read a lot of blogs and forums before, and we were honestly scared about doing a remodel while living in the house. But they handled it better than we expected. The communication was strong from the beginning, and I really felt like they cared about our home and treated it like their own. They used dust protection everywhere; zipwalls, plastic coverings, even covered the air vents. That was very important for us, and they did better than we hoped. There was wall removal involved, so we were worried about the mess, but they managed it so well. And when it was all done, the bathroom looked exactly like the 3D designs they showed us before. Two years ago, we remodeled our kitchen with Fairfax Kitchen and Bath and were really happy with the result. This year, it was time to take care of our master bathroom. We had actually gotten a quote from them two years ago. Of course, prices have gone up since then, but they did their best to keep the cost as close to the original as possible, which we appreciated. Our old bathroom had that typical builder-style layout with bulky walls and small standard fixtures. Fairfax Kitchen and Bath reconfigured everything… removed the unnecessary walls and gave us a much more open and functional layout. Instead of the small standard shower pan and glass door, they designed a custom solution that made the space feel much larger. One of the smartest features they added, which we hadn’t even thought about, was a power outlet inside the linen pantry. Now all of our rechargeable items stay inside the cabinet! no more clutter or cables on the vanity. That was such a brilliant touch, and we especially thank our designer Tugce for suggesting that and many other thoughtful details. We’re very pleased with how everything turned out and will definitely consider working with Fairfax Kitchen and Bath again for future remodels.

We signed a contract with Fairfax Kitchen & Bath about three months ago for our kitchen remodeling project in Centreville, Virginia. We chose them because they’re local, family-owned, and had good reviews! and we’re glad we did. Our designer, Tugce, was very creative. She listened to our ideas and also gave helpful suggestions from her own experience. We’re really happy with how the kitchen turned out. Of course, living through a renovation is not easy, there’s dust and noise, but the crew did their best to control it. There was still some dust around the house, but once the project was done and our cleaning team came in, everything felt fresh again.
