I recently installed hardwood flooring in my kitchen, dining room, family room, and hallway, which are all connected with an open concept. I want to install hardwood in my den, which opens up off of my kitchen and dining room with a small step down. I am going to use the same hardwood but am unsure which direction to lay it. Should I continue the direction of the rest of the first floor or change the direction to differentiate the room and follow the length of the den?
