What is your personal style? Are you looking to make your kitchen brighter and neutral? Or do you want to add some color?

I am following this! I have pretty much the same color granite and oak cabinets. We stained the wood floor darker and I love it. I'm thinking painting the cabinets gray but I am more of a warm color person and am scared !

I like the greys. What brand of paint would you recommend?

I tested out a gray paint on the walls to see what I thought. I love the gray. I'm not going to paint my cabinets gray- maybe a paprika? My countertops are still not installed so it's hard to see what the countertops will add to the space before deciding on more details. My flooring has to be refinished- see the attached picture. 15 years old and its yellowed and cracked. I was thinking of a cherry or gun stock medium color? I'm also thinking of copper hardware. Thoughts?

We are considering the same countertop with our golden oak cabinets for our kitchen update. When we built our house (16 years ago), we used Sherwin Williams SW0090 (Sturbridge Stone). They still carry it. It has been the perfect color for any color scheme. When we first put the paint on, I hated it -- it looked like concrete. But as soon as I started decorating, I found it was the PERFECT neutral.

If you paint your cabinets Paprika and do copper hardware with a hammered copper sink, I think you will have rusty orange overload. My first thought was black cabinets - your appliances will blend nicely and the cabinets will be a nice counterpoint to your touches of copper. Copper can have a craftsman look, and if you want to embrace that, you can look for a dark subway tile with a more matte finish - something like you'd find at Heath Ceramics. If you love the Schoolhouse Electric vibe, choose something geometric - either light or dark - and stick with a matte finish.

Monica, they're fabulous! Things are looking great in there! Have you thought about leaving cabinets as they are? I think they look great together!

About painting the base cabinets espresso and glazing upper cabinets with a lighter greige transparent stain or accent the grooves?
