The frames in M. Bullard's room are not all square. Also his wall goes up into a peak, which would make the layout different than yours.I don't believe yours does go into a peak. I cannot see the wall size behind the console unit..how far does it go to each side and what do you have on the same wall as the console unit. As I cannot see it I will still give you food for thought.. I would find either art, or photos not both together. Different size mat them to have the same finished outside size..if the art/photos are different change the mat size accordingly..mat a creamy white. Frame them identically with a silver leaf color simple frame. Arrange them symmetrically above and on the sides of your TV . In advance, measure each of these area and cut from newspaper the size you think would work and tape them to the wall until you are satisfied with the look.

Just tie in a theme - (nature, architecture, puddles in the rain, faces, whatever) stick to black and white as ariccio said (vary your frame sizes but stick to either white frames or black) The white will define the space, the black will shrink it as the matting will be define the edge. And then find a canvas with muted colours around but a pop of colour in the middle. This will create your focal point. It can be so dramatic and I love your thinking. Please post photos afterwards

You could add the really neat arches on the sides or you could add frames with the black white pattern like the second image.

Joeturbo 26 I think it could be difficult to give you advice as the black wall is not showing any linear definition. Possibly a clearer picture with dimensions might help.

I applaud your courage to do a laquered wall, which I love, but you should have sanded. That dimply effect is not a plus. Is it really your preference even now, or did you just not want to do the work? The devil is in the details, especially when you are trying to pull-off a high-style look.

Add mirrors in the frames- then it's unified with one element while keeping the eclectic ness of the frames
