I would say for sure at least 1 bathtub. Anyone with small kids would need one.

I agree, at least one bathtub is needed for families with children. Also master bathrooms with both a shower and bathtub really define the fact that it is the master bed/bathroom.

Nothing beats a long hot bath when one caught a cold or has backpain... so for me the bathtub needs to be big enough for an adult to stretch out. Even my 80 year old mum enjoys a bath every now and then...

Also, for baths that only have a shower, the shower needs too have a European-type shower head on a wand so you can properly rinse your "extremities"

It depends. If you're in an urban condo area that appeals to millennials and empty nesters, or a +55 community, probably not, a large walk in shower would be more appealing. For suburban single family homes that appeal to young families, a tub would be preferable. Know your area, know your demography of potential buyers, estimate how long you plan to stay. And of course, bottom line, it is not an investment, it is your home, do what you want. Life is too short to worry about some future buyer, who will probably rip it all out anyway.

I am 70 and still love bathing and probably always will.
