Kashmir White Kitchen Island Remodel Help

Hi Everyone,

I need some help with my kitchen project. I purchased a new build 2.5 years ago and the builder utilized Kashmir White (from India) for all kitchen counter tops. I want to change the existing sink/high top area and put in a new 99"x66" slab. This would open open up the space and work better with our needs. I came to learn that Kashmir White (from India) became discontinued 2.5 years ago and I have called some 70+ places but haven't found it. At this point I would like to see if someone can throw out ideas for a contrasting granite that would look good with my kitchen setup.

Dark Cabinets, Stainless steel appliances, there is an existing center kitchen island already with kashmir white on it.

P.S. I have already looked at Kashmir Cream (was too dark), Moon white, River white.. wanting to get thoughts on something contrasting.. something that would stand out.

How much perimeter counter top do you have — over by your cooktop and ovens.

Could you choose something new for the peninsula and perimeter? If that's the only additional area, it couldn't be that much more expensive….

I see you have a nice backsplash — I guess you would just need to make sure it could be done without affecting that.

Hi,

The dimensions are the cooktop are 15'x6.5' and the center island is 4'x3'. I've attached additional pictures.

As I seem to recall from my granite shopping, Kashmir White has grey undertones -- would you be happy with a fairly solid granite such as Steel Grey? Or, how about keeping the granite along the sink and adding butcher block for the extension?
