Window treatment color

So...I have cream walls...rustic greyish furniture...green and bronze wall art...what color valance should I get made and what type of fabric should I use. Pics are attached of the room (sorry for the poor lighting) the painting by itself and the valance style I'm going to use. i plan to let the valance cascade all the way down to the bottom of the side windows. i was thinking a solid deep green with a gold lining but I'm not sure if that will be too drab. Help plzzz

10 years agoPlease reconsider the complicated valance, as something simpler will allow the furniture to shine. Is there art over the credenza? Your existing art piece, though lovely, seems too small for that large wall.
1. This is about as fancy frou as you might want to go in your bay window. And it does come across as somewhat country casual as this is a breakfast room area.
