I had my pool resurfaced not quite a year ago with a white pebble sheen surface. Within a few months white, blotching was visible throughout the pool surface. I was told that the water was too low in calcium (less than 200 ppm) when it was filled after the new surface was applied and the water pulled the calcium out of the pebble sheen and later it was deposited back onto the pool surface. The pool has been drained and acid washed and looks better, but I'm concerned that the longevity and/or aesthetics of the surface have been compromised. thoughts from any experts out there ?
