Hated the oak banister, so I painted it black. I love it! I also was not happy with the mustard yellow wainscoting. I prefer crisp-white wainscoting, but there's something off here...is it the pale yellow on top (that I want to paint)? lol..it never ends! Next project in the foyer will be the interior doors to match the banister.
