We are building a first floor master suite onto our three story home built in 1921. These companion chairs are needed for the master bedroom in front of the fireplace. We have not chosen any colors yet for the bedroom, master bath, laundry that we are building.

So are you decorating in a style consistent with the age of the home? Those chairs are quite elegant and they look rather large too. Have you measured to see if they will fit in your new room? Perhaps you should consider selecting your bedding first and decide on your color scheme and then we can help you pick a fabric for your chairs. My guess is that you'll have to go through a designer to find fancy jacquard silk similar to what you have now.

Here is what a quick search found. Both of my standards have silk. Spoonflower is artist designed - or you can design your own, so doubtful you would have such an old looking pattern, though they do have some lovely ones. Fabric. com has few with patterns, many solids. fabricguru, a new one for me, has many some with great patterns - i did nearly die when i saw the $50-$300+ price tags! so if you want old style, perhaps etsy, I saw a wide range of patterns, most for under $50. I just love to learn this stuff!

Select your bedding before you select a fabric for the chairs. It will be easier this way. If you decide to use silk it should be backed when being used for upholstery to minimize wear and tear.
