You mean the radius? Round-over router/shaper bits are called out by the radius.

The sales slip reads:

5/8" x 5/8" quarter round, 1/2R profile

What does 1/2R profile mean?

That's the radius that Casey referred to. So it sounds like the moulding is 5/8" tall and 5/8" deep, and with a 1/2" radius that should mean that there is about 1/8" of flat area on the back and bottom front edges.

Is the problem that you're trying to match this to something else and the radius/curve isn't the same? If yes, you'd probably have the best luck removing a piece of what you're trying to match and giving that to the person doing the custom milling.

but yes, you can cut a 5/8" r QR to whatever size you want.

Maybe y'all are thinking about "base shoe'' or "cap" rather than quarter round? I'm don't think it's called quarter round unless both flat sides are equal to the radius.

The woodworker who made the quarter-round was able to trim it down for me. Thank you for your help. He used a 1/2 Radius on the original cut. Most of the quarter-round in the big box stores is smaller than what they say it is.
