I like the blue color posted above. I think that would work best

We have used SW Celery and it is a beautiful color. It would look great with that duvet!

I think the colors breezy or travertine would be nice both are from SW

I vote for celery too I like to choose a wall color from one of the smallest areas of color in a print it makes that color pop.

i like blue because green paint never looks right in person.

I used BM Woodlawn Blue in my bedroom and I love it. Similar with dark floors and white comforter. Small bedroom too with white trim and crown molding. ,

I love the Woodlawn Blue also, but he is adamant about wanting a green! I do like the SW Celery and Quiet Moments is pretty also. I am thinking the avocado may be too bold.

Have you bought a sample and tried it at home? The paint changes color depending on the light. As a matter of fact, my husband originally thought it was green and said 'no green'! :-). I'm sitting in bed now and looking around and it definitely looks more green than blue. It's really a beautiful spa-like color and I feel very peaceful every time I walk into my bedroom

Strange but the rest of my comment didn't come through. Suggested if you haven't already to get some samples and use white poster boar and try them out. There are so many options (agree that avocado doesn't seem to work) I'm sure you and your husband will agree on something

These are the colors I painted on a board two days ago and a couple of softer colors I threw in yesterday from BM. He still likes either the 2nd or 3rd from left. My daughter-in-law picked the same two! Grrrrr....I don't dislike them, but thinking a softer color would look better. Sometimes I wish I didn't have such an opinionated hubby when it comes to decorating!

its just paint, sometimes its easier to just go with the color your husband likes if you have chosen the other things in the room. you know how much hassle it is or isnt to be 'right'.

by the way, the first photo shows a shower curtain, make sure you really have a duvet in hand before you start painting the bedroom....

Agree with many of the comments above - the light blue in the first comment would be really pretty to keep the space bright with the dark floors.

Since your hubby is leaning towards the green, meet him halfway by choosing a pale green with a grey undertone . With limited spacing, dark floors and minimal lighting you want to make the colour as bright as possible.

I think the second to the end on the right for a number of reasons. Subtle/feels calm, lighter color will make small room feel larger, has the green hint, but not too much, and easy to accessorize with art and pillows. Perhaps if you husband wants more green, add deeper green pillows or a green throw on the bottom on your bed.

I may be convincing him to go with softer green or a blue-green. Reading your posts to him ;). I told him we could use the avocado in the bathroom adjoining the bedroom. Glad it helped perhaps win your husband over! I think white shades may feel crisper and more modern (just me) and white linen roman blinds would be quite pretty. Without seeing your washroom, maybe rethink avocado as well on the walls? It's nice when an ensuite flows with the master..why not go a shade darker than the bedroom and it will feel spa like. Another idea is to go with cream or white walls and use the avocado on the vanity only.

I've used SW in Silvermist and also Seasalt. Both would be nice options.

We found this picture online and love this green, but it doesn't say what color it is. We are using antique furniture as in the picture, a light rug and an antique dark framed mirror. It possibly could be BM Hollingsworth Green.

SW Dorian Gray is a gray with a green undertone if it's in bright outdoor light.

I looked at BM to see the green colors that are close to what you like..the Dill Weed might be close to that,,you can check different shades in that area and see which one works best in your room

thats a good color printesa but i dont like what it does in the lighter tones, becomes rather giddy at sweet caroline and stolen moments. at dill weed strength it would be a one wall only sort of color.

Interesting what colors the SW computer came up with. Most are much too dark for my small bedroom.

Don't be afraid - this is the color of my 12x14 bedroom - those SW colors are not too dark, especially the gray or heather.

Whatever you do, do not take any suggestions from people looking at a photo of the bedding online. Everyone's monitors are different and you cannot match paint colors on the computer. I would go with a light steely blue or perhaps even a light gray. If you do a celery color, keep it light or it will look silly. Your best bet is to take the bedding with you to a Sherwin Williams or Benjamin Moore store and ask someone for help. You can bring swatches home with you as well.

Yes, I was looking at the wall in that photo...difficult to match visually:) I have in the kids bathroom a sage color that kind of looks like that..I guess the dill one can be cut by 50% and see what it looks like,,if it's too bright, they could add some gray in it

I can appreciate you trying to decorate for both you and your husband! I like the fact that you painted some samples. Have you painted those on your wall yet? I see a lot of yellow in those greens you chose. I suggest a green with some more gray in it. Check out Rushing River by Sherwin Williams SW7746. It is a nice soothing green and very earthy. It will pick up nicely with the comforter without taking away the focus on its beauty. I would also stay away from lighter colors (top two on color strips) They usually need more natural light to look good in a space. Stick with mid tone colors with a light reflective value between 30 and 50. Good Luck!

no, don't take the comforter to the paint store and match colors under the paint store lights. buy yourself a fandeck instead and match colors in your own lighting situation. own the world.

very true nnigrt..that is the reason I am waiting for the electrician to bring the bulbs for the basement..Once they are in, I can get paint samples

There are different lighting booths at paint stores. Bringing samples home would also solve that problem.

When I can't decide on a color, I will get small samples of the colors I am considering and paint them on the wall. I look at them for a while, different lights, time of day, etc. and that helps me make up my mind.

Most of these colors seem to dark to me. The green does not have to be a true match with the fabric. Because there are several greens here and blues , beige , and cream your eye reads a blue green color. I would pick a more neutral green/ gray such as BM spring thaw or BM November rain.

Remember, if you are trying a paint color out, paint the sample on a WHITE piece of cardboard, not on your wall that has it's current color. You will get a true reading of color that way.

I just painted the walls with three of the greens which I had posted earlier and now we are saying "eewwwwww". We do NOT like the greens at all, and will look at other softer colors. Funny how actually painting on the wall gave those original colors in mind a totally different perspective! I am seeing online that BM Guiliford Green is used quite a bit. Anyone know about this color? The blues and grays are looking more appealing now, but curious about Guiliford Green since it is a grayish green.

i don't know what it is about green paint...it may look great in a magazine photo shoot but on the wall its always wrong. go with the blue grey.

BM Covington Blue may work. Definitely sample on walls. It can look either blue or green depending on the light.

Guilford grey is a yellow base green. I would say no. These three colors may work but you have to see in your light. One is more neutral but could look very nice with your fabric. One is more true blue.

I think guilford green has too much yellow in it. If you are sticking with Ben Moore try Salisbury Green HC-139. This green appeals to many people. It is soft and beautiful.

It depends on the green. I have green on the walls and it works..In one room I have gray-green and while it's cold, it's a calm color..The kids wanted pink and green so we have two walls pink and two apple green..I don't remember the names of the other colors,,,some light blue-green..very serene

I'd go with the blue, for sure.

I would suggest powder blue as well. The soft avocado also
matches the print of the curtain but it just looks so heavy, so if I were you

Love the Colonial Revival Gray above. SW Monorail Silver is a gray with a pretty blue undertone. Have it in my bedroom
