Help! My dining room is sad looking!

Hi all! My dining room and kitchen area are empty! I can't figure out what will look good and make it feel more homey! I'm open to all ideas/advice. I guess my end goal is to have a dining room that doesn't feel so stark and empty and with the kitchen area "maroon wall on left" I want to make it more useful and tie it into the home decor.

first i would say loos the red paint on the lower half. i would also say take off the chair rail in there. and paint the room one color.

the table could use a rug under it to soften up the space

the valance isnt helping the window. bare would be nice.

much of your art is under scaled, needs to be lowered, and some could group together.

goals.

paint the walls.

pick a rug.

get some larger scaled art.

consider a new light fixture, that goes with the kinda rustic charm here.

if you want window treatments go to curtain panels.

the candles and art over the console in the maroon area are too high.

yes as mentioned above you need a large rug and new window curtains ....also for more life to wall add original large wall artwork .....for more artwork check my shop too...

Curtains and a rug will make the dining room so much warmer. If you decide to keep the paint as-is, I recommend curtains with some color in the pattern. Good luck,you have a beautiful space.

Before you do anything, PAINT! I'd remove the chair rail, because it is not doing anything for the space, then choose a color and paint the entire wall that color.
