We have lived in our open concept home for 12 yrs. Everything was painted the same colour in the kitchen, great room, dining, hallways, etc. It was time for change. It's amazing what paint will do. I started with spray painting all our shiny brass door knobs oil rubbed bronze, then that led to paint and trim and finally the walls. We had always hated the lighting in the dining room and found something we love. My husband and I also put the ledge stone on the dining room wall.

We then tackled the tiny laundry room which also serves as entry from the garage. Stacking the washer and dryer gave us more room to move. We wanted hooks and a bench as well as more storage to make it much more functional. I found the live edge wood and stained and finished it , which we just love.

Our project is taking a break for the winter. Ideally we would like to paint out the kitchen cabinets a creamy white colour and have a shaker style door put on them. One step at a time.
