Getting rid of those faux shutters will help drastically. After that, I'd probably do grey for the majority of the house with white trim and a funky door- bright yellow or something. You could add moldings to the top of windows.
Id create some interest in front with a curvy shaped garden outlined with pavers or bricks as well as create a space around that tree for some grasses and annual bulbed flowers like daffodils or something.

If it is on the market now: take down the empty hanging flower pot, replace burned out bulbs in fixtures by the door, put the curved concrete seat that's by the tree over by the front door or in the backyard (if it's impossible to move in winter, forget about it). When weather permits, take a bucket of warm soapy water out to scrub where the trail of flower pot grime is visible on the siding. Wash as much of the front as possible in an hour with hot soapy water and a sponge mop. If the snow shovel looks beat up, buy a shiny new one that makes it look like shovelling snow is a pleasure, not a chore. Although I wouldn't usually recommend a wreath that isn't real pine, in this case I would. Buy a $20-$30 wreath at the discount store, their Easter decor is in already. White grapevine wreath, pastel easter eggs, some silk daffodils, you know the kind.

This one's $50, there are many cheaper ones at the discount stores.

Also, make sure the exterior door mat is brand new and the one inside is new, too, with an additional mat for visitors' boots. And scrupulously clean even if the inside one has to be washed every few days.

A couple of tall black planters with cedar boughs on either side of the door, hopefully they will sell before having to paint.

Add a meandering sidewalk and some nice roses along the side of the meandering path. Done. :) - xoxo susan
