Mid-Century Replacement For Antique Rim Latch

My wife and I just bought a house that was built in 1949, and we've been outfitting it piece by piece, to fit a bit more of our sensibilities - which run towards mid-century modern. Think a combination of West Elm and original/interesting pieces that actually come from the era.

ANYWAYS - the previous owners actually had some more colonial style touches throughout that we're trying to remove bit by bit. One thing that particularly drives us crazy, are these double-heart rim latches on some of the dining room built ins.

I'd love to replace the hinges and the door latches with something more our style, and I'd love to do so with minimal work (the less patching of old holes, drilling of new ones, and light construction, the better).

Does anyone know of anything a bit more contemporary or mid-century, that could replace these easily?
