Uniform color in baseboard & wall paint for short ceilings?

I have 8 ft ceilings and am painting my walls a warm off white that looks white. I am thinking of painting the baseboards the same so that a "Swiss coffee white " baseboard does not show that my walls are not truly "white" . I like a more contemporary style. I did my casing here below next to my barn door I made and like that the casings blends in. Opinions anyone for the floor baseboard? We will be putting in wood floors soon also.

I do a lot of rehabs with a modern feel, and I paint the baseboards to match the walls in almost every case. Looks great, not lazy. My last contractor was a bit skeptical until he saw it in person, and was won over. (The only time I don't do this is when there's elaborate/historical-looking woodwork, in which case I sometimes do the bedroom trim in white.)

I would be concerned that painting the walls and the baseboards the same color would look like a "lazy" paint job rather than a thoughtful design choice. Few whites are truly white and the slight contrast between the walls and the baseboards will provide visual texture that could be really beautiful.

You can pull color from the wood flooring you're putting in. I didn't want traditional white in my house so that's what I did. Good luck!

With respect to AMC, I always have three whites in any room: ceiling, walls and trim. It really is a personal preference as all things are. Smile.

Kendall6704, Thank you ! I made the door myself off Pinterest! 1x6 tongue and groove , I layered stain and white washed with watered down chalk paint then waxed it. Cost was $60 . I bought the track on Amazon for $99

With respect to all, sometimes I paint out all trim (semi-gloss) the same color as walls if the look is modern or the baseboards are el-cheapo and don't want to draw attention to them. Other times, for a country feel or historical look, one can contrast the baseboards and trim. That barn door looks rustic but contemporary. Whats the rest of your style?
