Your dilemma is too open ended. An actual problem to solve will get answers!

I would get rid of the table along the wall that does not really appear to serve any purpose other than holding decorations. Move the dining table over to the side so that on a day-to day basis you have more open floor space to walk around, but if you have people over you could still move it out if need be (fourth chair could be moved to bedroom to sit in to put shoes on). A change to a different table might be even better, if funds allow. Something that is more flexible, e.g. smaller, with leaves that can expand if you need them. You could also by a large mirror to put on that wall to help make it look bigger. If you like to watch tv, you could have one on top of the kitchen cabinets and be able to see it from (what appears to be, any where else in the main room. Also, you might consider painting a color that makes you happy and/or adding more art to the walls. If you travel you can just print pictures of the places you have been and buy stock frames to keep the cost down. You could also by some wood trim, paint it, and make one huge frame of your own (similar in size to a full length mirror) and make a creative collage showcasing some of your favorite photos that make you smile when you come home to your small cozy space.

What is it that you don't like or want to improve in this loft space ?

When choosing pieces think scale and open. You glass table is great but the chairs are too large for it. You can see once they are pulled out and you are sitting in them you will not be able to walk around the table. Switch your wall art- the cool scroll work would look better in the kitchen or turn it the long way to make the room appear bigger. Height is not an issue with this space it is length and width. An area rug will help define each space as well. Something with stripes will again expand the space. The clock on the small table is too big there. Try removing it to see if it helps. Anything in a small space should serve a purpose and this little table has no purpose right now. Use it as a beverage table- display wine glasses and favorite wines. I know it is low, but I hate wasting things, re-purpose it. Stools at your bar with no backs will also open up the space. Would love to see a pic looking from the kitchen towards the dining area.
