I have a pool which came with the home I recently purchased. It is an in-ground pool, with a fresh coat of cement. Unfortunately, the pool was installed without a light. I have researched floating pool lights, and I understand they are an option. However, I recently had brick installed and a nice coping laid out around the pool and was thinking I could add lighting, either through LED strips, or some other manner, under the coping.
Is there a safety issue? Anyone ever installed something like this? the Lighting would be recessed beneath, so it wouldn't be visible to the naked eye, but would likely create a nice effect.
Are there any other options for installing a light source from the outside of the pool I'm not considering?
