I can't read the dimensions - is the master 15'4" x 13'? Our master is 12' x 14', and is big enough for a king bed, a chest of drawers, and a small chair. "Big enough" depends entirely on what you'll put in there.

The other bedrooms seem reasonably sized. I'd extend the closets in both bedrooms at the bottom of the drawing. I might also enlarge the windows on the right side of the house, and add windows to the bedrooms on the left side.

You didn't ask, but since your master bath is small, I'd go with a single sink, offset to one side so you can have drawers and a nice run of counter. I'd also move the door to the master closet - right now the end of that little hallway is completely wasted space, which could just as well be closet space.

I think that works. My only concern is the two smaller bedrooms: the outward swing of those closet doors will limit furniture placement and make the rooms feel tighter than they need be. I suggest you consider bypass doors, or pairs of bi-folds to minimize this space intrusion.

That hallway in the master suite is wasting a lot of space. If you pivot the master bath and walk-in closet 90 degrees counter-clockwise, you could add that space to those two rooms. The downside is that you now have two doors in the master bedroom, but with a larger closet, you may be able to get rid of at least one dresser or move it into the closet.

Thank you all for your input. The plan is to move the master closet door in order to use up the dead space and incorporate it into the closet. We'd like to have a king size bed, dresser, two nightstands and a chair in the bedroom. Just hoping it all fits. The dimensions of the closet would be 15 by 6 so I think we wouldn't need too much furniture in the master.

As far as the other bedrooms-we are definitely doing bi-fold or bypass for those closets.

15x6 isn't that large for a shared closet. It would be worth the time and effort to have it "designed" and outfitted with a closet system to make best use of the space. Your bedroom will be tight with all the furniture you hope to fill it with.

Our master shared closet is 14' x 5' (we were constrained by existing space). It's too narrow, but it's plenty long (one more foot of width would have been great). We don't even have a dresser in the bedroom, just a bed, two nightstands, and a TV (with shelf underneath). We used the IKEA Pax system in the closet (at a cost of about $1,200 vs. the $12,000 California Closets quoted us). All the cabinets are on one long wall -- 2 5-drawer dressers (1 for me, 1 for DH), 5 sections for hanging items (I have 3, DH has 2), 1 section of shelves (DH). On the narrow end wall, we hung bars with hooks for things like baseball caps, backpacks. On the wall across from the cabinets, a tall shoe rack, two jewelry holders - necklace holder and earring holder -- two IKEA stools (to sit on to put on socks and shoes) and a laundry basket. Really, except for the narrowness, or unless you have tons of clothes, it's plenty big. the entrance to the closet is the "other" narrow end.

Hi Bes! I would recomendó enlarging the master closet out to hallway wall. This would give you more space in the closet and eliminate the hallway in the Master Suite. In other words, extend the wall between the bathroom and closet and shift the door slightly.
