As soon as the snow stops and it's above 50 degrees I'm going out to weed!!

Anyone have a favorite pre-emergent? I've heard corn gluten is good, can I put it on top of mulch?

I was down in southern CO when the whiteout hit...didn't think to have hubby cover peonies... :'(

I had planned to do weeding today, Amester - until the snow hit! I've been finding some well developed ones already, so was anxious to pull them out. So too late for me for pre-emergents :(

I saw some of my peonies I got from Lizbest and Bannisters pushing up, too, Amester - they are just coming
out so thinking they should be ok even under this snow. But yesterday, I shoveled off some of the top layer of snow on a couple of flower beds to try and save some things from all that weight, as well as give them some air and light. Hopefully will get a little melt before the next snow hits! I'll get out there this morning and see if I can unbury some more.

Okay, not really "gardening" but, I was reading through A Sand County Almanac for probably the 500th time, and came across this, seemed fitting.
