Recently, I found these rulers online. I have not tried them, have not seen them in person, but have watched a number of the YouTube videos. (you can get to the YouTube channel by clicking on the appropriate banner that changes at the top of the page) It's an intriguing idea.
The rulers work with a special foot which fits inside the ruler's groove. This is very similar to how a long arm machine can work with pantographs & stylus' (depending on the machine & setup). Only these work for quilting on your standard machine.
Ruler 1 comes with the machine foot & a slick surface that sticks to your machine bed (or extension table) which helps the quilt sandwich slide. There appears to be a total of 20 rulers (though only 12 show up on the website, there are YouTube videos for 20).
I've tried contacting them to ask if they sell here in the US, where one can purchase the rulers, and where one can see prices and/or purchase the additional rulers that don't show online. I've yet to receive any feedback.
Not sure if I would purchase any of these, but would be interested in finding more information about them.
