It's very difficult to judge color via computer monitor. Personally I like the cooler darker gray tones with rich warm wood tones of your floor. Just be sure your paint is intensely colored rather an too faint.

Beautiful floors. You might want to take pics during the day to get a better read on these colors. I like large wall on the left, the greenish grey, but it may look completely different in day lite!

RP is considered greenish. EG a soft shade of RP. I like BM's Abalone. Below are some comparisons to RP.

Is albalone more gray or taupe? I am going for a warmer gray/taupe that will blend well with my brown/ tan / warm furnishings.

You all are so helpful. Here are a few more pictures to give u an idea of the family room that is currently very warm tone. Furnishings won't change but I wan to rid the house of the 50 shades of tan/ brown into something a little less gold and fresher. Family room has small north facing windows and gets little light. If I do RP in foyer and EG Family room + kitchen with court land blue or Wedgwood gray as fireplace accent wall will that look TOO gray? RP + EG is scaring me. Or just EG IN ALL 3 or balboa mist in all 3? I'm so tempted to break it up with a white

Also want to paint cabinets white but husband is not on board! :(

Hi Jessica, looking from your family room it seems both these colors work. The EG seems to read more beige in your space, the RP (a taupe) seems to have a slight green cast. I think they both can work though. I would not do an accent color on the fireplace wall. There isn't that much wall there and it just makes it look choppy.

To answer a previous question, Abalone is a soft taupe/ grey with a slight mauve cast.

Ok... It's painting day and I got abalone. Eg was too tan, RP too dark especially be it will be carried into a hallway. I will let u know how it turns out!
